PARIS LIBRARIES

Paris Libraries is the result of documentary research on the Parisian reading rooms.

From a methodical photographic census, the author constitutes an archive of the Parisian and Ile-de-France sites.  He uses the fund to extract typologies and describe the architecture’s evolution of libraries in France.

The archive is made of more than 120 colored photographs taken since 1998.  It is the support of a documentary work published in 2012 during Moma’s exhibition: “Labrouste, brought to light
